Almost one-third of U.S. households have reported difficulty in paying energy bills or adequately heading and cooling their homes Across the country, more than 500 Community Action Agencies operate a Weatherization Assistance Program- helping families save money on utilities by making homes more energy efficient. Weatherization services help households save $283 per year on average in energy costs. South Central Missouri Community Action Agency is advertising for a pool of qualified contractors who have the capability to provide HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) services in the following counties: Butler, Carter, Dent, Reynolds, Ripley, Shannon and Wayne. Operation Healthy Delta IRT Event
The US Department of Defense, in partnership with DAEOC and in cooperation with SCMCAA and Shawnee Development Council, present OPERATION HEALTHY DELTA INNOVATIVE READINESS TRAINING. They will be providing NO-COST Health and Medical services to the public at clinics located in Sikeston, MO, Poplar Bluff, MO and Anna-Jonesboro, IL. This event will take June 11-20, 2023.
